“The World’s Sexiest Fly Reel”
The Hardy Cascapedia MKII Reel
The new Cascapedia Mk II is a stunning lightweight version of one of the classic reels of all time. The reel retains its looks, its charm and its quality but it uses the most modern technology that it is a perfect match for. The Hardy Cascapedia Reel is a timeless, ageless classic.
The brilliant design echoes the design of classics like Vom Hofe, Bogdan and, of course, Hardy, with its S-shaped handle and red-dotted drag indicator on the back plate. Formerly a limited edition, the Cascapedia is now available once again.
The new Cascapedia MkII is a reel to collect, to look at, to treasure. But above all, it’s a reel for the modern day, to be used with pleasure and admiration. A pinnacle of reel engineering. Drag regulator button with pointer for easy reference
Available in four sizes, two trout and two salmon, the #2/3/4 and #5/6/7 versions offer a wide ranging click check whilst the larger #8/9 and #10/11 feature a powerful disc drag capable of stopping the largest salmon. The drag regulator button also has a pointer for easy reference in the heat of battle. The matte black side plates give a high tech sleek appearance that is perfectly complemented by the rims, which are hand-polished to a mirror-like finish. Above all, the “S” shaped handle is retained, the immediate emblem of this magnificent reel.
What’s Included on the Hardy Cascapedia MKII Reel?
- Effective braking system for across the board fish control
- 6061 aluminium construction for lightness and durability
- Hand-polished rim, classic looks, timeless performance
In its two smaller sizes, the Hardy Cascapedia is a simply lovely reel for trout on streams, rivers and stillwater. It’s great to use, great to look at and has an army of un-shakeable fans. Just try the baby of them all with a two or three-weight line on a moorland stream and you’ll be smitten, we absolutely guarantee.
But it’s in its two larger sizes taking salmon lines from eight to twelve weight that we are getting the most immediate and enthusiastic feedback. The Hardy Cascapedia ‘S’ shaped handle says salmon to everyone the world over: it’s such a recognized emblem of quality.
What Does a Genuine Hardy Reel Like This Cost?
There are less expensive reels out there. But do they have the provenance of being a Hardy? Although this is one of the most prestigious and classic reels of all time, we are able to offer it as low as $399 and that includes shipping. I don’t believe there is a lower price out there anywhere, and if there is, we’ll match or beat it.
